It was quite a gruelling task for an 85-year-old to prepare a full meal for 5 but she did it anyway. That shows something about the French hospitality.
The table meticulously laid out
left: A scrumptious dish of lamb stew
right: The pleasant company that will be missed. I loved talking to them cos they make sure they speak slowly enough for us to understand and they bother explaining words and phrases that we don't so I dare say I learnt more in the 3 days that we were in Lyon than a week in Grenoble.
After lunch, Marie-France kindly offered to send us to the train station and when we said our adieus and hugged goodbye I made a promise to myself to return to visit her and Lyon one more time before my return to Singapore.
